Leaving the cave

Everyday I browse my link aggregators and I see all these awesome people in my little electronic rectangle, sharing their experiences and thoughts on the world. It feels like that kind of confidence, the ability to put yourself out there, will always be out of reach...

But then i learned that someone in my social circle had a long running podcast with one of my favorite writers. I was only one small degree of separation away. It made me realize that these are people to that probably felt nervous about putting themselves out there too. Maybe what i have to say matters too? This realization ignited a spark. I want to be out there! I want to join them and share all the stupid thoughts i have and hope that someone finds them useful.

I have a homelab server setup that might be a bit unusual. I think what i learned setting it up could be useful to someone else, i sure would have helped me. So that's the plan, document my shenanigans so people can learn from my mistakes.
